Chandrayaan has made a
very interesting discovery. Although Chandrayaan 2’s orbiter was created for
research on the moon, it created another record while walking in the moon’s
orbit. When it was travelling around the moon, it felt the Solar winds coming
from the sun. The ISRO team found out from the study that the Sun completes its
Solar Minima and Solar Maxima every 11 years.
Currently, the solar
cycle is heading towards minima and the Sun has been extremely quiet for
past few months. On 30th September 2019 00:00 UTC – 1st October 2019 23:59 UTC,
a series of small flares were observed by XSM.
Chandraya will
continue to explore this way and will share many important information with
ISRO. As Chandrayaan 1 launched by ISRO discovered water on the moon. Even
though ISRO’s ambitious mission Chandrayaan 2’s lander and rover could not
succeed on the moon, but the orbiter has performed more than its capacity.
Highlight:
o Discovered: Sun completes its Solar Minima and

o The Solar Cycle is heading towards its Minima.
The mission of ISRO, the experiments and the
satellite it has launched for various purposes, have always attracted the world
and made them show their abilities. After the extremely success of Chandrayaan
1. Chandrayaan 2 was launched, which had created excitement in the world since
its launch.
