Now all Jio customers who have got recharge after 10 Oct. to pay 6 paisa per minute to connect other telecom customers. Jio customer will have to pay additional charges of 10, 20, 50 and 100 to buy ICU minutes.

There is no profit in recovery of ICU because jio has to pay these amount to other operators. TRAI has compelled Jio to recover IUC of 6 paisa / minute for all mobile voice calls to other operators. In telecom sector, the other player like Idea, Airtel etc. has pressured to TRAI to get ICU recovered by Jio’s customers. Till now jio was cutting down these charges and providing it’s user to free call. This recovery of IUC will continue only until the IUC charge is made zero by TRAI.

We all know that Jio stands for its commitment by providing best value offer but since the TRAI has decided to continue to take ICU charges, Jio had to recover from its customer. Jio had a challenge that how to recover these charges from our customers so it has started to provide additional internet data on purchasing of ICU plans. We can use it as data booster as well as get the ICU minutes to make call to non jio customer.

How we can avoid these charges.

Most of our friends and contacts are the Jio’s customer, but in some case if we need to make call to non jio customer, either we can move them on jio or make call by WhatsApp call, Hike call and Google duo etc.

Is it worth to switch from Jio

Since the jio has started to recover ICU Charges from its customers, other telecom company may increase their tariff plans, but still we are having best value by getting additional data balance along with ICU minutes.
