What is SAR Value

What is SAR Value

SAR stands for specific absorption rate, is the amount of Electromagnetic energy that is observed by a unit of mass of exposed tissue of a person. Our body has a limitation to observe the radiation. The governments of every country has defined maximum SAR levels (1.6 weight power per kg in India) for RF energy emitted by mobile devices. The SAR value is divided into two part. When we are talking to someone in this case our phone is close to the head so the Radiation will be more on the head than on the body. Every phone has its SAR value which must be under the limit. Our tissue is not capable to handle much radiation. You have observed that during talking on phone more that 1 and half hours our phone heats up and also we feel the temperature increased around the ear. As advised to not talk more that than half hours and if possible use the wired headphone rather than wireless or Bluetooth.

How to protect yourself from the Mobile phone radiation

1.    Do not talk on the phone for a long time and use a wired headphone if possible

2.    Turn off the internet connection or mobile data connection during talk on phone

3.    Keep phone away from the child because the child’s tissue is weaker than mature tissue

4.    Keep the phone away from the pregnant woman

Let’s review the SAR value of the smartphone and check it is under the limit

Open the dial pad on your phone and dial *#07 or Go to the phone’s company website and check your phone’s SAR value. You can also find it on Phone Box. The SAR Head value for Redmi 4 is . 750W/kg for head and . 812W/kg for body *at a distance of 15mm
