Configure Windows to Automatic login

Follow the steps to configure the automatic login in windows based computer, laptop

Method 1.

   
  1. Locate the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon subkey in the registry

  2. Double-click the DefaultUserName entry, type your user name, and then click OK.

  3. Double-click on DefaultPassword, if not found then create and give the password as string value.

  4. Restart the system.



Method 2.

Use Network Places Wizard (netplwiz ).


1.  Open Run tool.



2.  Type netplwiz and hit enter


3. Select the user and Uncheck the Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer and then click apply.





4. Give the user name and password. Now that user will login automatically.
